Akpinar View Point & Mount Sivri

Seeing Eğirdir and its lake from a birds-eye perspective is an unforgettable and rewarding experience. A drive up to Akpinar Viewpoint and a hike to the top of Mount Sivri will be one of the highlights during your stay in town!

 Only 3 km away from Eğirdir you can have a relaxed tea or coffee at the panorama terrace of a cozy restaurant in Akpinar village and enjoy an amazing view at Yesilada peninsula and Eğirdir lake. The restaurant is also a great place to enjoy a good lunch and try traditional turkish food in an impressive setting.

If you are keen to hike, continue from there to hike up to the peak of Mt. Sivri. With almost 2.000m it offers a superb panoramic view. From the top you will not only see the city of Eğirdir but also Mount Davraz and the surrounding, snowcapped mountain chains.

From Akpinar there is a trail leading all the way to the peak. It´s 3km and about 500m of altitude gain – so plan with 1 up to 1,5 hours to reach the top.

Getting there:

There is no public transport to Akpinar. Either you take a taxi from Eğirdir or rent a bike and cycle to Akpinar. The way to Akpinar is not long, but also not relaxing by bike, since you will need to climb 300m up. If you wish, we will be happy to organize you a transport to Akpinar.
